Supposed to be in the low 70s & Sunny today...which means I'll be on my bicycle this afternoon for a 20+ mile bike ride. I plan, again this year, to hike the Appalachian Trail for a couple weeks (in May) with some friends...

Hopefully ALL u cuzzins are staying warm this winter....still 100s of thousands are without electricity just North of me (in KY). Some still dont have water because of the treatment plants are shut down....please pray for them & an end to their nightmare soon.
On a lighter note....still looking for a male descendant of PETER JAMES SWAFFORD to take a DNA test....I'll pay 100% of the test. How about that!
I really would like to compare the results with my DNA to finally figure out if PETER JAMES is in my particular direct lineage or NOT....anyone interested?

I have recently taken a DNA test & now have the results posted on Ancestry.com...IF you are a descendant of PETER JAMES SWAFFORD thru one of the 8 Biblically named brothers that settled in Sequatchie Valley.

Oct 5: Howdy Cuzzins!
Just back from hiking in the BEAUTIFUL mountains of Viriginia!
I hiked the 47 miles i "MISSED" back this Spring when i developed some heel injuries during my annual Appalachian Trail hike with bud, "JIGSAW".
It was a success! My lovely wife, Donna even went along with friends & got to do the "tourist thang" while i was hiking in the woods.

Sept 24th: Hey Cuzzins!
Whats up with this GAS CRISIS????
Don't know if you've heard...but, here in Mid-TN....we are SUPER LOW on GAS or are totally OUT of GAS in some areas...i skipped a BICYCLE Ride this past weekend & a Family Reunion because we had no GAS in our area...
If we DO get gas by this wkend...I will be heading back to VA to hike those MAKE-UP miles I missed back in MAY...(when I was off the trail due to a HEEL injury)
I still have to keep the "day job" for now...but who knows what the future holds?
